PICK OF THE LITTER – 2 JULY 2019

If you missed today’s PICK OF THE LITTER from The SPCA of Upstate New York, here’s the information on our featured furry friends looking for furr-ever homes:

(ABOVE: SIRIUS)

Sirius (Pictured Puppy)
Sirius came to us from another shelter, his owner was moving and couldn’t take him. He is in need of a family that’s able to walk him or hike with him or just play with him everyday. He has a lot of energy. Sirus is just 9 month old and definitely still has a lot of puppy left in him. He is a larger breed dog, a handsome dark chocolate lab mix. His ears are floppier which gives him personality. Sirus is pretty good on a leash although at times he forgets and will pull some. He’s smart so he could learn a lot if taught. Sirus loves other dogs and will play as long as they will. He also loves everyone he meets, all around he’s a happy boy. Sirus is in need of a forever home with a family that is just as active as him. He’s a great pup and will make a great forever friend! Sirus has been neutered and is ready to start his new adventure.

Sophie (Camera Shy Cat)
Sophie is a beautiful cat, not only her looks but her personality as well. Her coloring is a mixture of browns, blacks and tans, and her eyes are a bright blue. Sophie is past her kitten years and a more mellow age of 4 years old, this makes her a great companion. She loves attention, and doesn’t mind being held. She does ok with other cats as long as they’re not overly active. Sophie prefers to hang out and take in her sights, whether it’s on her own or with her family. Why not consider taking in an older cat like Sophie; they make great companions!
